Busy Mom Homekeeping Kit + a Giveaway for Your Ideas

I've been working on a new Homekeeping Kit for the Clean Mama Printables shop specifically for all of us busy moms.  How about it busy moms?  If you work outside the home, some things take priority - what's most important to you?  What do you need in a Homekeeping Kit?  Daily checklists, monthly checklists, checklist for the year, calendars, schedule for the hubby and kids?  Leave your ideas in the comments - each and every comment will count as an entry for a Busy Mom Homekeeping Kit (so if you have 3 ideas, leave 3 comments) and the winner will be chosen by random.org.  The Busy Mom Homekeeping Kit will be in the shop early next week and the winner will be announced in the post that introduces the Kit here on the Clean Mama Blog.

  1. I think a family calendar with really large boxes to write in is important, lol!

  2. an important phone numbers list is a must for any mom

    ReplyDelete
  3. a weekly to do list saves paper from printing a daily to do list (although I like both lol)

    ReplyDelete
  4. I also think that a reminder sheet for what medical things need to be done when (i.e. doctor checkups, school physical, optometrist, gyno, etc.)

    ReplyDelete
  5. I think a list of the non-routine stuff would be nice (like a reminder to do a deep-clean of yoru refrigerator or something)

    ReplyDelete
  6. I always want a shopping list, two separate ones...one for food, one for home supplies (including cleaners)

    ReplyDelete
  7. A meal planning worksheet for the week with a corresponding shopping list, to make sure you have all your ingredients!

  8. I weekly cleaning list for little tasks that need to be done. For example. Clean the microwave, clean the coffee pot. So when you have those 10 extra min and want to get something done it is there.

    ReplyDelete
  9. An annual planning sheet - change funance filters in July. New compost in April. Etc. Etc. It's great for thinking ahead, especially on large, annual expenses.

    ReplyDelete
  10. A birthday/anniversary list sheet so gift giving doesn't keep sneaking up on me! Especially since I'm trying to get better about sending out cards BEFORE facebook reminds me it's their birthday. :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. It should definitely include a "fill in the blank" menu schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  12. What about a pad of sticky notes for hubby reminders...you know...for his honey do list. :)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Seperate lists for stores - Costco, pet store, alberstons.... Coupon check list on the side!

    ReplyDelete
  14. OH! A pantry and Fridge essential check list
    Fridge-Ketchup, mustard, butter
Pantry- Flour, salt, sugar. When you run out check it on the list or to help you make sure you have everything!

  15. I need one for all of the non-routine things. Easy to forget to that tabs are due in August or dog is due for shots.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Now you have me thinking!
What about what you have in storage? Maybe out in the garage? I know I bought that before where might it be?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Also, a list for all of the kids dr. appts and space for notes so that they are all in one place. Easy to see that last dr appt was for what and when and helps schedule next one.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Shopping list of kids sizes and what they need. I always seem to be out on lunch break and cant remember for sure what size of shoe my oldest is wearing and find the great sale on tennis shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  19. A schedule for kids to plan their homework, activities, and chores for the week.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If anyone in your family (including mom!) takes prescription medication regularly or even occasionally, it is helpful to keep a current list of medications, dosages, doses/day, pharmacy number, doctor's number, medical condition info, etc. I've had times when I really needed this info!

    ReplyDelete
  21. Utility schedule- Garbage picked up Wednesday, every other week recycle, when to have yard debris, Electric bill due, Cable bill due. Maybe add those to a calendar that inculdes a budget?

    ReplyDelete
  22. Goals. Like what you have on your blog. This week. this month, this year.

    ReplyDelete
  23. A homekeeping list for me would need to include those things that you dont typically think of doing like changing the air filter, or cleaning under the stove

    ReplyDelete
  24. List of current home improvement projects and related info (measurements, supplies needed, etc), so you can purchase items as you find good deals!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Birthday/Anniversary reminder list!

    ReplyDelete
  26. I think a honey do list is fantastic, men just dont see the things we women do that need to be done or at least theyre not a priority to them.

    ReplyDelete
  27. a coupon organizer! ~ like a page with clear pockets for pairing up coupons.

    ReplyDelete
  28. a grocery list that the user could fill out; organized with catagories. ie: fresh, pantry, dairy, meats, frozen, supplies, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  29. a freezer / pantry inventory list

    ReplyDelete
  30. I would want to have a small check off area for local stores and their sales, ex: Publix- BOGO hummus, juice, etc., Walgreens- Puffs tissues. I always shop the sale items so having them listed in one handy place would be a great time saver.

    ReplyDelete
  31. how about a budget section...when bills are due..when they were paid..and maybe some folders for recipets

    ReplyDelete
  32. What about a checklist for routine maintenance on your automobile? I know I always forget to get the oil changed or tires rotated... :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. A list to keep track of monthly expenses!

    ReplyDelete
  34. A list for the things that need to be done, but are the very last to do...touch up painting, cleaning the filter in the washing machine, vacuuming out the lint drawer in the dryer etc...

    ReplyDelete
  35. I really need a birthday card reminder list!

    ReplyDelete
  36. A Holiday/present list... for when someone says, "Oh, I'd really like that." That way, you can write it down, and when Christmas/Holidays comes around, you don't have to struggle to think of something to get them! You just go to the list, and look so "thoughtful" for "remembering" that thing they mentioned months ago!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Everything in your post would be super helpful! I also love having a birthday/anniverary calendar so I can keep track of the cards/presents I need to get for the month.

    ReplyDelete
  38. A list of things you don't do often but need to be done so you can work on them throughout the year. Like deep cleaning type things.

    ReplyDelete
  39. My calendar is a MUST! Everything goes on it. Birthdays, anniversaries etc. Every year I go through and fill in a new calendar and make a list of appointments to make and when and keep it next to the calendar.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I make a monthly menu, then grocery shop accordingly. I make a seperate list for all the different stores, that way I don't over buy and I can plan for leftovers on certain nights.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Chore list. I make a list of chores every Sunday and try to work on them little by little every day during the week. Then Sunday whatever I didn't get done, or I have thought of additionally gets added to next week. Certain items stay on permanently, like laundry and cleaning the bathrooms.

    ReplyDelete
  42. We keep a list on the fridge of home remodeling projects we have left to do. (I have to have lists, can you tell :)). That way, we know if we have two days to work on something, we can start on a small project, where as if we have four days, we can conquer one of the big ones.

  43. This might sound weird but I would like an "all in one" check list. I have multiple lists for my different to-dos and I always seem to misplace them. If I had one master list for multiple categories, it would help so much!

Like a quick grocery list, what do I need to mail out? what books I want to read...all in one!

  44. I need a weekly list of things to do, cleaning etc.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I could totally use a weekly list.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think I would stay more on top of things if I had a list to check off... it would be nice if it was dry erase.

    ReplyDelete
  47. It would be nice to have separate columns for separate people

    ReplyDelete
  48. I would like a monthly header sheet to list important dates and events for the month...

    ReplyDelete
  49. space to jot down memories from day to day exchanges and interactions with the kids, or family (can you tell I am a scrapbooker?)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Love planning the menu for the week in advance, and a space for a shopping list would be an added bonus!

    ReplyDelete
  51. I am a huge fan of planners, lists, etc. I am also a homeschooling mother...so I would love individual planning sheets for each of my children's schooling/activities. :)

    ReplyDelete
  52. I think a *deep clean* to do list (for like once or twice a year) would be fantastic, as well. I love having boxes to be able to check off when I have accomplished something...it feels so good to be able to do that!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I have to have my calendar with me at all times, or I'd never survive!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I also make a daily to-do list, but it's so cluttered, I have to find a different method.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh yeah, and finally, meal planning/grocery shopping.

    ReplyDelete
  56. A morning/evening routine list for the kids

  60. Address list just for the people I put in the Emergency Contact section of all of those pesky school forms that will be coming home. That way I don't need to look up each individual address, it's all on one form.

  66. you know what i would love? for blogging-- the weekly blogging calendar, a "blog contacts" sheet to keep track of the cool blogs/bloggers I "meet",
a "at a glance" blog calendar that shows the whole month, a sheet for each month with a checklist of action items for the blog, another and sheet with "blog ideas"

    ReplyDelete
  67. a family calendar that has a line for each member of the family for every day of the week---yeah--my life is that complicated....

    Sally
    themellingers@hotmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  68. Definitely a chores chart for the kids AND for the adults. This keeps cleaning jobs organized and the house in order!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Also, a calendar, maybe with lines in each box instead of blank, to write main events in.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I need a weekly planner with at least 5 columns so that I can see the events of all the members of my family

    ReplyDelete
  71. I like having a daily to do list with a few lines (so I am not overwhelmed with to do) and also a place to write down dinner... helps me think ahead of time...

    ReplyDelete
  72. a fridge essential sheet!

    ReplyDelete
  73. A weekly/monthly cleaniing chart!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Hmm. I need an evening checklist for myself and my Hubby... I'm starting a new work from home venture and I need some more structure to help us from dinner to bedtime (meaning, dinner, clean-up, baths, preparing for the next day by getting clothes and homework/backpack together, and bedtime). My plan is to work during evenings, so we can use help with the structure and organization of our evenings!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Also, for Work From Home Moms, perhaps a weekly schedule to include work time, as well as school drop off/pick up, preschool, and weekly chores.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Learning list. What age group should be learning what.
