If you are joining in on the cleaning fun next month (go here if you want to find out about it), there are a few things that you might want to do to make the month run a bit more smoothly.
- take down and pack away holiday decorations
- go through each room in your house and take a good look at your belongings and see if there are some things that you can toss, donate (donate by 12/31 for a 2010 tax deduction), pack away (like outgrown toys), sell on Craigslist or Ebay, or set aside for a garage sale later. Eliminating clutter will help in the cleaning process and give your rooms a fresh start.
- catch up on laundry - looking at mountains of dirty or clean laundry won't help the cleaning process
- get your cleaning bucket ready - here's what I keep in mine:
If you need some great (the most effective, in my opinion) non-toxic cleaners, take advantage of this month's Shaklee special (free membership with $70 purchase) and I have another special in addition to that too - it's automatic, but you can email me (clean.mama@yahoo.com) if you are interested.
Is it absolutely weird that this post has me completely excited, and ready to go make my own cleaning bucket? Oh my...when did my life come to this :-)
