Have multiple Christmas celebrations to attend? Use the same paper for each separate event. Or color code your paper by family member - no mix-ups, no gifts left behind. Simple and organized. Do you have any last-minute wrapping tips to share?
I color code wrapping paper, too! Husband's family's gifts in one paper (Santa/Snowmen patchwork this year), my family in one paper (penguins), my daughter's in pink-based Christmas paper (pink background with snowmen from Target this year), and my son's in blue-based Christmas paper (blue background with snowmen/Santas from Target). Definitely helps with sorting in those hectic minutes of car loading before parties!
Other last-minute wrapping tips - forget nametags and write to/from info with a Sharpie on the wrapping paper.
I also color code - and just like Katie - I write to/from right on the paper with a sharpie - then I don't have to mess w tags falling off! I write the gifts from me & hubs and my hubs writes the gifts from Santa - see how tricky we are?
I have always used different paper for each of my kids. I never wrote the name on them. They never knew whos was whos till right before they opened them and I would tell them what paper their gifts were wrapped in. It keeps them guessing. LOL
Yep, my mom did this. All our gifts were wrapping coded. It works great!
ReplyDeleteWe color coded ours by family!
ReplyDeleteGood idea!

Use twine/jute instead of ribbons and bows - especially if you have to travel with them. No flattened ribbons/bows when you get to the party!
ReplyDeleteOh this is a genius idea! Wish I knew of it before I started wrapping the presents. I'll definitely be doing this next year. :)
ReplyDeleteHere is what we do:
