Clean + Organized - The How + Why

Looking for some organization and direction in your homekeeping routine?  In need of simple every day tasks to implement in your own home?  How about a fresh approach?  Then you've come to the right place!  This year I have tagged it a 'Clean + Organized 2012' as my blog mission and am so happy that you've taken the time to check it out.  This post is the how and why of Clean + Organized 2012 as well as a resource for the year.  If you've been following along for a bit, I'd love it if you'd share your successes and struggles with the routine in the comments.

Why would someone want to establish a cleaning routine?
Every day I do four simple daily tasks:

Every day of the week is assigned an area or task through my home:

Here's a link to free cleaning printables to motivate us to get and stay Clean + Organized this year.

And guess what - March is going to be a Spring Clean version of Clean + Organized 2012!

  3. I have had a lot of success with Room Shocker to help get rid of carpet odors. It's super easy to use and works great. Since you are a professional cleaner I am sure odors are a problem you encounter. I just thought you might be interested. You can find out more at http://www.biocidesystems.com/roomshocker1.html

  4. I really enjoy reading your tips, and I love the pretty way you lay things out. Unfortunately, I live in a different climate, so my cleaning needs are a little different. Also, I have a hard time sticking to a strict daily regime. I've found by assigning chores to numbered days rather than days of the week, I have more success.

  5. I would be interested to hear your thoughts and comments from others about natural cleaning products. I have tried several types and brands over the years and finally found some that work for me at www.bestallnaturalcleaners.com

  6. I have been trying to get on top of cleaning my house for ages!!! I have just implemented some of your cleaning routines, like the daily stuff and how you clean your bathroom, (which I LOVE). I am hoping to try and do the weekly routine this week, I just need to get the clutter under control so I can get to what needs cleaned!!! (I even created my own bathroom bucket, I had pinned yours to my pinterest board!!!) THANK YOU
