Containers Week - Crocks

Anyone else out there love crocks?  I have a crock collection (Red Wing are my favorite) - and use them for a variety of purposes. Blanket storage in the family room, decoration in the living room, potato and onion storage in the pantry, utensils in the kitchen....  They come in all different shapes and sizes, have a utilitarian look and are extremely durable and functional.  Here are a few ways to use crocks in your home.  (You can click through the description to the source.)

Where can you find vintage crocks?  Flea markets, garage sales, Etsy, Ebay, Craigslist.....and if you just want to look at them, my Pinterest page.

    I love crocks too! We use them in the kitchen as you do, as well as for magazines in the den and we put garbage can liners in them so we can use as garbage cans all over the house.

      Flea Markets and antique shops - I only buy if they are in excellent condition and a good price :)

    Oh, I'm such a crock fan! I use them all over. I have a giant one by the front door for flip flops and random shoes. One in the living room to hold a few rolled quilts. One in the bedroom for the same purpose. One in the kitchen to hold utensils and one to hold a fresh washcloth and hand soap. My mom is also a collector and uses one to hold wooden blocks for the grand babies to play with. And growing up she had a large crock to hold magazines. My grandmother also collected them. We find them at auctions, estate sales and there is this incredible indoor flea market in my home town that is always overflowing with crocks for amazing prices. Wonderful post!
