I'm trying to decide on paint colors for a few rooms in the house and decided to see if Pinterest could help me out. I went to the paint store to pick up some paint chips, narrowed down my colors and then took to Pinterest to see if I put in the paint colors that I liked if anything would come up. And would you believe it, they did!
I pinned a couple rooms that I liked the look of my favorite paint colors in and then searched for specific rooms with the colors. It's really helpful for me to see how my favorite colors fill out a room. I know that the colors won't look the same in my house, but I look for similar room traits - white trim, windows, etc.
Simple ways to use Pinterest for choosing a paint color?
1. Start with Pinterest for inspiration.
2. Go to the paint store first for swatches, then search for your favorite colors on Pinterest to see how other people used your colors. Maybe you'll see that you do/don't like the color before committing to it in your own home.
3. Add your favorites to your boards so you remember them as your work on your painting projects.
