Welcome back - it's Day 8 of 31 Days to a Clean House!
I made a printable for us to track our progress, you could just take it and run, but I think you'll like the daily motivation and tips and tricks that this series will provide. So come back every day for the assignment and check off your progress as we go. You can go here to grab the free printable.
If you want to keep up on other daily cleaning tasks using my simple routine you can check out my free October cleaning schedule - to learn more about my cleaning routine and how I make cleaning a little bit every day an easy and manageable thing that we do. I have more free printables here too!

Today and tomorrow's task is to dust/clean light fixtures. How you divide this up is up to you - first floor today, second floor tomorrow or you could do the light fixtures in your bathrooms today (since it's 'bathrooms' day) and everything else tomorrow. (If you don't have any ceiling fans, you can divide this into 3 days if you'd like.)
The best (and most time consuming) method to clean light fixtures is to take them down and wash them in soapy water, dry and put them back up. I will be using a dusting wand to clean my light fixtures. I do take them down and wash them occasionally, but this isn't the month for me to do that. Another method? You could use a damp microfiber cloth and wipe them down.
Are you excited to get your house clean this month? I'm so happy that you are here today and ready to jump in! Don't forget to subscribe over to your right in the white box, follow me on Facebook for daily reminders and on Pinterest for all things clean and organized!

Thanks for the great tips! Seriously, this only takes minutes a day, rather than taking hours trying to do it all in one day. I was looking at a cleaning service in Forney but maybe I can just do things myself. Thanks again.
ReplyDeleteNice tips!
ReplyDeleteOooh, where did you find that duster?! That would help sooo much when cleaning my stinkin' ceiling fans! I think I might actually do it more often... which would make it even easier! Yay! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's a Bissell - I got it at Meijer grocery store, but you can buy them on Amazon too.
