Flu Season and Vitamins

Why would the Clean Mama want to talk about vitamins and seasonal flu?  Obviously, I wish that no one ever got sick and we never needed vaccinations, but it's not a perfect world and these are things that we think and talk about.  I'm going to discuss prevention.  Regardless of if you vaccinate or not, with the flu, you still need to follow some steps to keep yourself and your family healthy.  When I was a teacher, I came in contact with about 600 elementary students each week, their families and other staff members.  I don't even want to think about how many gazillion germs I came in contact with each day.  During this time, I stayed healthy, but I followed some self-imposed rules that we still follow in our house today.  Most of these are things that you probably already do, but hopefully there will be a few new Clean Mama tips for you.

*wash hands frequently (follow this method)

*wipe down all counters daily (my daily docket is here and here)

*take shoes off before entering home

*change clothes when you come home from classes, etc.

*use natural hand sanitizer (my favorite) when necessary

*make sure that when you have playdates, everyone's healthy

*stay home when you're sick and hope others do too

*keep your hands away from your face

     *drink plenty of water

     *get plenty of rest

*eat lots of fruits and vegetables

*everyone takes vitamins all year 'round

*bump up our Vitamin D intake (boosts immune response)

If you and your family don't take vitamins, or don't think that they are doing anything for your health, I urge you to try Shaklee vitamins and supplements and feel the difference in your health.  (As always, all Shaklee products are 100% guaranteed.)  Shaklee vitamins change people's health and lives - they are wonderful!  My recommendations for you and your family:
For your kids  I love the Shaklee Baby Mulivitamin/Multimineral powder because it's for 6 months-4 years
For the adults The Vitalizer and Vita-Lea are Shaklee's Multivitamins or Essential Nutrients
For Immune Support  Check out the Defend and Resist Complex - it's for when you feel like you're getting sick (for ages 4 - adult)
I'd love to give you a free, personal multivitamin and supplement recommendation for you and your family.  Interested?  Enter your contact information here and I will guide you to a healthier you and your family!
