My Green Secret Just Got Better

I talked about a favorite cleaning product of mine here.  Yesterday I received an email/letter from one of the resident Shaklee doctors, Dr. Jamie McManus, who said this (among other things) in regards to preventing the spread of the flu: "Wash down your countertops, bathroom wash areas, and other hard, non-porous surfaces that your hands contact with an effective germicidal product such as Shaklee Basic-G®. Basic-G has been tested and shown to be effective in neutralizing influenza type A viruses as well as a host of other microorganisms and the EPA has issued a statement that it believes, based on available scientific information, that the currently registered influenza A virus products will be effective against the 2009 - H1N1 flu strain and other influenza A virus strains on hard, non-porous surfaces."

Remember that Basic G is a safe cleaner and a wonderful alternative to bleach.  It kills germs on hard surfaces for up to 72 hours versus bleach which kills germs (and brain cells) for up to one hour.  Basic G is concentrated so you only need 1/4 teaspoon to 16 ounces of water.  I love it for my bathroom cleaning routine and in my kitchen after handling raw meat or poultry.  My green secret's out - and I'm okay with it.
