SPRING ZONE CLEANING - DAY 7

Today's little bit:  blinds or window treatments - first floor or first half of your blinds or window treatments

If you don't have window blinds or window treatments, take the day off, dust your house, or come to my house and help me.  Those of us that have them, we're going to be tackling the most annoying thing to clean (in my opinion).  There are a few ways to clean window blinds.  If you have metal blinds, you can take them down and spray them off in your bathtub.  Lay them flat on a towel (on the floor) to dry.  My blinds are a faux wood so I can't do that - I'll be wiping them off one by one.   To make this a bit easier, I'm going to start the process with my vacuum cleaner and this attachment.

Once I have the dusties off the blinds, I'm going to use my microfiber blind duster with some Basic H2  (all-purpose) sprayed on it.  If I didn't have a blind duster, I'd use a cotton rag with some Basic H2 on it or a cleaning wipe.  Enough talking, I've got some blinds to clean.

  1. The previous owner put cloth ones in & still haven't replaced them all yet (such a pain to keep really clean). I usually give them a quick dust every week, but I will make a point to go over them again today. I really need to wash the vertical blinds in my family room, but not today (too many other things on the wash list).

  2. It's true that cleaning blinds can be annoying, but cleaning them can also be fun. These tips on how to clean different kinds of blinds will be handy for homeowners who don't know how to clean them.

  3. Yes cleaning blinds are really annoying. However I always opt for vacuuming, as its the easiest of all.
