$5 Fish Dinner

Before we get started, I am not a huge fish "fan".  I like fish that doesn't taste fishy and doesn't have bones in it, so if you are like me, try this recipe.  If you like fish, you'll love this recipe too.

Pan Sauteed Fillet of Sole
It's easy, cheap and super tasty!

This is what you need:

frozen fillet of sole - Trader Joe's has it for $4.99/pound - you can find fillet of sole at most grocery stores and it's CHEAP.

one cup of flour on a dinner plate

seasonings - about a tablespoon total - I like these from Penzeys Spices, but you could also use salt and lemon pepper just as easily

mix the flour and seasonings

melt 2-4 tablespoons of butter in a large saute pan

dip both sides of the fillets in the flour/seasoning mixture

place in hot pan and cook about 2-3 minutes per side

Serve with some fresh veggies or a tossed salad.  Yum!

I'm linking this up to some fun parties - check them out!

  2. Sounds good - and easy! I am like you in that I hate encountering bones and I am very picky about the taste. But this would be a nice addition to our menu. :)
