This month, I'd love to help you get your meal planning under control. If you've been trying to come up with dinner plans at 5pm, this will definitely help you. If you eat out a lot or want to curb your grocery and entertainment budget, you're in for a real treat. If you want to try some new techniques that will help you streamline your time in the kitchen, this is the right place.
I'm going to structure this month "teacher style" with small assignments that are easy, attainable and can work for anyone, on any budget. If you are up for the challenge, check back for your assignments and take a couple minutes to reap big results in your kitchen. Haven't Followed, hopped on my Twitter branch, or liked me on Facebook? Follow, hop, and like and you won't miss out on a single thing.
Your first assignment? Go through your cookbooks, recipe binders, recipe cards, computer files/bookmarked sites, ask your family what their favorites are, and write down all of your family's favorite dinner recipes. As you're doing this, use a post-it and mark the pages so it's easy to reference and come back to. While you're at it, if you haven't made something in over a year or haven't made it at all, maybe it's time to toss it out.
I have a freebie printable for you to make this task a little easier - Favorite Dinner Favorites - you can go here to download it on Scribd. Not into Scribd? Just email me and I'll gladly send you the pdf file.
Through this month, I''ll be guiding you on how to effectively meal plan, save time and money and enjoy your time in the kitchen so you can enjoy your time with your family. I have worked out a system that is simple and straightforward and won't tie you up in the kitchen for long. Follow along - it'll be simple and easy - by the end of the month, you'll have worked out a system for you and your family. Excited? Pass this on through Twitter, Facebook and your blog - I'd love for the word to get out on Clean Mama's Meal Planning Month!
I'll be back on Friday with your next step in the Meal Planning - so gather and record your family's favorite recipes and I'll see you back here on Friday!
Here's my family's favorite recipes sheet:
