Declutter (Clothing)

An update from the trenches....
I've been working on my closet and clothes - here's what I accomplished:

I added narrow elfa baskets from The Container Store to the top shelves - I love how they nestle perfectly on the wire shelving and blend in.

How are you doing on decluttering the clothing in your house?

  5. I can't believe that people just throw away clothing. Yes, there may be holes in it or have stains, but it is still usable to be repurposed by artist like myself. Did you know that textile waste comprises 4.5% of residential waste created. Please always try to post clothing that you are planning on tossing on craigslist or something first. If there aren't any takers within 2 weeks, then toss it.

  6. I didn't toss ANY clothing - the bag that says toss is just garbage/clutter from my closet. I ALWAYS give clothing to Goodwill/Salvation Army :)

  8. Don't forget about freecycle.com there is one in every city, go to the website and sign up for your city and people will post things they don't want and if you want it respond, I get half the things I ask for, and it is a great way to get rid of stuff without having to throw it away.
