BIG DAY! Today I'm going to tell you all about the vacuum cleaners that caused me to get rid of not one, but two vacuum cleaners in my house. After just one use, I sent my canister vacuum cleaner to my husband's office and the upright vacuum cleaner is out in the garage ready for the next garage sale. What vacuum cleaner could cause this drastic of a vacuum cleaner switch? It's the Oreck Magnesium RS Power Team and it's absolutely amazing.
Here are some features that I think make the Oreck Magnesium Power Team so very different from other vacuum cleaners:
little side brushes on both sides of the vacuum cleaner make cleaning baseboards easy - I love this feature!
the vacuum cleaner has an agile design that makes it easy to get into tight corners and spaces
two settings - I mostly use the high setting, but the low setting is great for area rugs and hardwood floors
this is amazing - the vacuum completely flattens to fit under furniture - great for under beds!
My three favorite features about the Magnesium RS?
How incredibly lightweight it is (7.7 pounds!), the dirt stays in the bag, and the before and after is unbelievable! A vacuum cleaner has to work double-duty in my house with a constantly shedding dog and lots of activity!

ReplyDeleteI just bought this combo last summer and I'm so glad I did. I gave hubby the Dyson for his work place. One tip for the uninitiated...if you have pets (especially a large, smelly dog), spend a little more for the Oreck bags with the charcoal filtration system to contain the inevitable doggy odor. I used to hate switching on the vacuum and getting a whiff of that sour dirty dog smell. The charcoal bags never allow that to happen!

ReplyDeleteI can't decide what I am more excited about. I have just discovered I can switch between surfaces without having to stop the vacuum and switch manually. The suction power is amazing and that's a biggie with two pets. And to top it all off, it has an easy snap cord. I am so sick of the cord falling down and someone tripping over it.

ReplyDeleteI like the fact that this vacuum weighs 7.7 pounds, and it's durable and lightweight, thanks to magnesium. It's a bagged vacuum, because I have allergies, and I still use a bagless vacuum, which is not healthy for me. My Vacuum is a 5 year old bagless canister vacuum from another brand. Unlike my canister vacuum, this vacuum has an Endurolife belt, that prevents the belt from breaking when the brushroll is jammed. The motor will shut off, when this happens. Compared to the first Magnesium vacuum, this RS model has improved with the location of the switch on the handle and the addition of edge-cleaning brushes. Another feature that my canister vacuum lacks is the slim swivel steer, that allows easier turning without much effort. Oreck has made the best vacuum even better.
