Well, we made it through the first week, ready for another? Hopefully you found the checklist rewarding - I find it so helpful to be able to cross things off a list and have that feeling of accomplishment. If you're new here, here's a link to the printable schedule for the month, last week's deep cleaning printable, and a printable cleaning/organizing subway art for inspiration.
Here's week 2 - it's the same as week 1, so hopefully you'll start to establish a routine and your home will start to be easier to clean once you get a couple of weeks under your belt.
If you have a little extra time this week, you might want to tackle deep cleaning your bathrooms. I'm going to just spend extra time today working through the deep cleaning checklist as I clean my bathrooms today. Here's a link to the freebie printable for the bathrooms. (If you are interested, the deep cleaning checklists that I'm providing all coordinate with the Cleaning Kit in my shop.)
My Pinterest organizing project for the week? To redo our family photo wall/hallway. The main thing that I'd love to accomplish would be to just figure out the configuration that I'd like to do. In an ideal world, I'd love to get the nail holes patched and the walls repainted, but we shall see.
Thanks again for joining me - it's so much more fun routine-ing with you! I'll see you back here tomorrow with some tips on how I use my Budget and Bill Pay Kit and then on Wednesday with some cleaning tips - any questions you'd like me to answer?
Thanks for helping all of us wanna-be clean mamas get in a routine. It helps so much! I find that when I have a routine (not just for cleaning house, but for anything), I am much more likely to reach my goals. THANKS!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the challenge and the chart. I actually get things accomplished when I have a plan to follow. I was before looking at it as a whole and would stay discouraged! I am so happy! Thanks, I LOVE the FREE printables as well!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the printables and getting me on a more regular cleaning schedule. At what point of the day do you do your scheduled cleaning? What are your kids doing while you clean? I try to do mine in the morning while my youngest watches her favorite show, but if we have to run errands or be somewhere else, it gets to be a challenge to keep up with the routine. Guess that's more incentive to stay home more! ;-)
ReplyDeleteI can't tell you how helpful your blog is! I am so glad I stumbled upon it via Pinterest! I feel like I'm finally taking control! Keep all of the great tips coming!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all of your tips. I started using your system last week and I don't think my house has ever looked this good.
ReplyDeleteI'm off to print some of your printables - but your link to the monthly plan takes me to the Subway Art printable, will see if I can find a link on another page. Thanks for motivating me!
ReplyDeleteI can't get into the groove! I'm having such a hard time! I wish I didn't work 8-5! Best of luck to all of those who have time.
ReplyDelete:(
Just to let you know, the calendar link seems to go to the subway poster.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the encouragement and guidance!

Link is fixed - sorry about that!

I'm having trouble printing the printables. I get an Internet Explorer cannot display error. Any ideas on why? I'm not a mama yet, but I work full time and I'm hoping that this will help me keep the house clean instead of spending all my weekend off doing it.

ReplyDeleteDo you have a Google account? Also, you can check and make sure that you have an updated (free) version of Adobe Reader:

I'm trying to print the subway art and it's showing up and I'm able to download it but for some reason the word "comfortable" isn't on the download. It's just a large white space. All the other words show up. Any ideas?? Anyone else have this problem?
ReplyDeleteIf you can't get it to print, email me at clean.mama@yahoo.com and I'll send you the pdf. I think it's an issue with Googledocs.
