Day 5 - 31 Days to a Clean House

Welcome back - it's Day 5 of 31 Days to a Clean House!
I made a printable for us to track our progress, you could just take it and run, but I think you'll like the daily motivation and tips and tricks that this series will provide. So come back every day for the assignment and check off your progress as we go. You can go here to grab the free printable.
Yesterday and today's task is to wash baseboards -  yesterday we started with the first half and today we'll finish it up.

Were you happy with the method you chose for yesterday?  If not, try something different today and decide what works best for you.  Did you try a different method than one of my 3 methods?  Share it in the comments!
Here are 3 ways to clean your baseboards:
  • Magic Erasers and soapy, warm water
  • microfiber towel and soapy, warm water
  • non-toxic cleaning wipe or baby wipes (my favorite method - it's the quickest and easiest and I can usually enlist some little helpers)
I start at the top of the baseboards and work to the bottom, scrubbing until they are clean. Another trick that I use is to put a piece of painter's tape to mark where I need to touch up the white trim after the baseboards are clean.

If you want to keep up on other daily cleaning tasks using my simple routine you can check out my free October cleaning schedule - to learn more about my cleaning routine and how I make cleaning a little bit every day an easy and manageable thing that we do. I have more free printables here too!
Are you excited to get your house clean this month? I'm so happy that you are here today and ready to jump in! Don't forget to subscribe over to your right in the white box, follow me on Facebook for daily reminders and on Pinterest for all things clean and organized!

  1. I'm a bit behind on the schedule but that is because I have a birthday party tomorrow and I am still spending much of my time canning. However I now have vacuumed carpets, clean walls, and two clean bathrooms! This is helping to keep me motivated and not overwhelmed. I am enjoying following along and when I have more time next week I hope to take a look at your regular cleaning schedules and get something working for over here! Thanks so much for doing this 31 day challenge.

  2. I just wanted to say thanks for making the free printable. I already knocked out the next two tasks today as well so I can have the weekend off (except for cooking and dishes of course) to spend with the kiddos and hubby! I'm glad to be getting all of these little things done. Thanks!

  3. Magic Erasers are pretty amazing. I use them all the time for our Deep cleaning. They work wonders.
